On December 3, 2025, Sasol Qatar joined the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) in marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities through an engaging campus-wide event featuring interactive learning experiences. This year’s theme focused on fostering disability-inclusive societies to advance social progress. Sasol Qatar participated through its Accessible Qatar initiative, bringing an interactive booth and hands-on learning experiences to the university community.
The Accessible Qatar booth was a hub of curiosity and engagement, welcoming a large number of students eager to explore accessibility in new and meaningful ways.
The booth featured two key experiences that helped students explore accessibility in practical ways i.e. the Focus Switch Challenge and the Inclusion passport. Through the Focus Switch Challenge, students saw how everyday distractions affect concentration and learned how thoughtful design can better support neurodiverse learners. The Inclusion Passport guided the students through quick, engaging stations that introduced core accessibility concepts – from visual contrast and digital accessibility tools to sharing ideas for a more inclusive campus and signing personal pledges. Students collected stamps along the way and received small takeaways, making the experience both memorable and educational.
The event was not only educational but highly engaging. Many students explored each station multiple times and discussed what they had learned. The Sasol/Accessible Qatar team received positive feedback, with students appreciating the hands-on approach and practical understanding of accessibility. By combining awareness, participation, and reflection, the initiative left a lasting impression and highlighted the importance of including accessibility in every aspect of university life.
